Museu de Menorca
Menorca's largest museum includes details of the islands archaeological past, plus the biggest collection of fine arts on the island.
Situated in a former monastery, the building is worth a visit on its own.

Fortaleza de la Mola
This truly enormous 19th century fort lies on the opposite side of Mahon harbour and offers guided tours to the public each Sunday, from June until October.
Comfortable walking shoes are required as part of the trip includes walking on uneven stone ground.
Drive past Cala Llonga on the far side of the port and continue towards the sea.

Museu Municipal de Ciutadella
Originally built as a fortress, the Bastio de Sa Font was renovated as a museum in the mid 1990's.
Thanks to many archaeological excavations, the museum can tell the history of the island from Pre-Talaiotic, through to Muslim times.
Collections include Iron Age skulls, Roman coins and jewellery.

Museu Diocesà de Menorca
This museum includes a collection of contemporary paintings by the Catalan artist, Pere Daura who was born in Ciutadella in 1896.
Close to the museum is Ciutadella's lively food market, selling fresh local produce.

Sala Municipal D'Art Contemporani
Located in the surroundings of the Santa Teresa estate, this museum offers visitors the chance to discover the Roman history of the island.

Es Moli de Dalt
Es Moli de Dalt is a large fully restored windmill, which you cannot miss when driving into Sant Lluis (from Mahon).
On display in this folk museum you can see a collection of old farming implements.
The church in Sant Lluis is another building of interest, dedicated to Louis IX who the town was named after.

Castell de Sant Felip
The guided tour around this castle ruin takes a couple of hours, but it's one of the most interesting and detailed tours on the island.
The fortress was destroyed by the Spanish in 1782, whilst on the tour you'll learn about the history of many invasions, see and walk through lots of underground tunnels and admire the views of Mahon harbour and La Mola.

Museo Militar
This museum is based in the old Cala Corb barracks and exhibits a permanent collection of Menorca's military history, including guns and flags.
Also on display is some of the finest 18th century English furniture.

Museo Fort Malborough
Fort Malborough was built by the British in the late 18th century and was named after Sir John Churchill, the Duke of Malborough.
Now open as a museum, this fascinating seven-sided building was subject to many attacks but amazingly was never destroyed.
Guided tours last for approximately 1 hour.
